BLACKMAN’S BREWERY FUN RUN - 6:00PM

TEAM Geelong Running in partnership with Blackman’s Brewery, is excited to bring you a FREE weekly 5km fun run in 2026 from all 3 of their Brewery locations.

At Blackman’s Brewery their philosophy is this: They love good beer, it’s really that simple! So whether you plan to meet family, friends or work colleagues, OR you’ve just moved to town or just visiting, let’s connect for a run or a walk, and then socialise over a good beer after.

TORQUAY

Every Wednesday at 6:00PM starting January 7th through to April 29th.

  • Our 5km run will head out from the Brewery, and along the front beach of Torquay to Deep Creek Reserve and back.

OCEAN GROVE

Every Wednesday at 6:00PM starting January 14th through to April 29th.
LOCATION: 82 The Terrace, Ocean Grove, 3226

  • Our 5km run will head out from the Brewery, and along the beach tracks to RAAF’s Beach and back.

GEELONG

Every Thursday at 6:00PM starting January 22nd through to April 30th.
LOCATION: 29/8 Lewalan St, Grovedale 3216

  • Our 5km run will head out from the Brewery, and to the South Barwon Reserve public toilets and back.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • When you arrive, you MUST sign in with our run leads.

  • Welcome and Intro at 6:00PM.

  • Run leaves at 6:05PM sharp, and you must be back by 7:00PM to redeem your FREE beer. Don’t forget to bring your ID for proof of age!

  • All runners will receive a FREE beer (5.5% or less ABV), and there is also Zero alcohol lager and soda for those that do not drink alcohol.

  • Each week we will raffle off 1 x 6-pack of beer for 1 lucky winner!

  • There is food at all 3 locations.

  • Any take away beers purchased on our fun run night will receive a 5% DISCOUNT.

  • You NEED to sign our waiver! You only have to REGISTER ONCE, and your waiver is good until the end of April, 2026. You DO NOT need to sign up every week!

BLACKMAN’S BREWERY Story

Back in 2014, Jess and Renn Blackman had this wild dream of bringing craft beer to Torquay.

After years studying, working and drinking beer at many fine breweries in WA, London and Europe, they opened their doors in Torquay with just two taps and a whole lot of hope.

Fast forward to today, and how things have certainly grown. Today, they have 22 rotating taps in Torquay, their own seltzer brand (say g’day to Coast Seltzer), a ripper Ginger Beer, and even a Zero beer for when you’re keeping things easy. They’ve spread their wings too, with a production facility and bar in Grovedale, plus a Beer and Burger Bar in Ocean Grove.

But this is what really gets them excited: being part of the Geelong and Surf Coast community. They’re still family-owned and operated, still obsessed with quality, and still high-fiving every time someone discovers their new favourite brew.

The best part? They get to work with some of the most passionate legends in the business, creating local beers that bring mates together. Because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about – good beer, good people, and good times.
